Still Waiting

Well now it's March and still no referral! Hopefully we'll find out who our dear daughter is in April or May! Although we're disappointed and anxious, we're also closer than we've ever been before, so it's starting to get very exciting!

Jim has had a rough beginning to the year with cystic fibrosis exacerbations. He just finished a long round of home health care, IV antibiotics and is now on oxygen at night. His lung function has decresed 11% since this time last year. He just got his picc line pulled on Wednesday, March 1 and we hope it worked to treat those nasty bugs in his lungs.

We've decided that he won't travel to China to get our baby. Colleen will travel with her sister. Jim's health tends to decline when he's fatigued, and we want him to be at optimal health to start his new life as a father.

We're getting as ready as we can, even started packing the suitcase with whatever we can now. It won't be long...!
